Just finished a fabulous week of golf coaching at Robinson Quinta da Ria Resort, Tavira, Portugal. With wall-to-wall sunshine, a fabulous all-inclusive resort, and a golf course right on-site, the setting was perfect for a week dedicated to improvement and enjoyment.
A Week Packed with Learning and Play
This was a very focused coaching week, covering all aspects of golf, from pre-golf stretching, long game, chipping, putting, and mental game workshops. Each day had both learning and playing time so that golfers could apply whatever new skills they learned instantly.
Day 1:
Full coaching day laying the foundation with pre-golf stretching, long game technique, and short game skills.
Day 2:
Coaching in the morning, followed by 9 holes on Quinta Da Cima.
Day 3:
Morning long game, pitching and putting then Texas Scramble on Quinta da Ria, a little bit of competition and fun.
Days 4, 5 & 6:
Further coaching sessions leading to two full rounds of golf, putting into practice everything learned throughout the week.
Mastering the Game: Breakthroughs, Confidence, and Relaxation
One of the most rewarding aspects of the week was seeing just how much progress everyone made with their golf. Many players felt more confident in their game, knowing they had the right tools and strategies to succeed. A key breakthrough was understanding what goes wrong and, more importantly, how to fix it. The short game was a significant area of improvement, with several players noticing big strides in their chipping and putting, which they believe will help lower their scores. The simplicity of ‘Back, Hit’ resonated with everyone, helping them refine their swing and maintain consistency under pressure.
The Robinson Quinta da Ria resort in Tavira provided the perfect environment for learning and relaxation. The all-inclusive setup meant that players could focus entirely on their golf without any distractions. With great food, excellent facilities, and a golf course just steps away, it was a seamless experience from start to finish.
Can’t wait for the next coaching week – hope to see you there!
